Lately I have been getting into coupons and free samples. One thing I like about getting free samples is that usually they come with coupons.
It is hard to remember to go out and buy a news paper every Sunday. I would pay for a subscription but it is not worth the money. Buying a news paper for coupons only saves you money if you save at least as much as the cost of the news paper. If you buy a subscription some papers charge $15 a month if you just get the Sunday paper, while others don't give you a Sunday only option and charge $20 a month. That means you have to use 4-5 dollars worth of coupons from each paper to make back your money. If you go out and buy the paper every Sunday it costs 1-2 dollars depending on where you buy it, therefore you only need to use that much in coupons.
Some weeks the coupons are great, but other days the flyers are filled with stuff I don't need or won't eat, making the four to eight dollars I spend on papers a better buy, even when I forget to buy one.
Some sources say that most dollar stores sell the Sunday paper all week long, I have yet to investigate this.
